Introduction
The Emergency and Disaster Society (EDS) under the Emirates Nursing Association (ENA) is dedicated to advancing the practice, education, and research of emergency and disaster nursing across the UAE.
Our society serves as a hub for knowledge sharing, skill development, and advocacy, enabling nurses to lead in critical and disaster situations effectively.
We aim to empower nursing professionals to excel in high-pressure scenarios, promote evidence-based practices, and strengthen the UAE's emergency preparedness.
Vision
To be a global leader in emergency and disaster nursing, fostering resilient healthcare systems and empowered communities through innovation and advocacy.
Mission
Empowering nurses in the UAE with advanced education, training, and resources to enhance emergency and disaster preparedness, response, and recovery through evidence-based practices and collaboration.
Objectives
1.Develop nationally accredited certification programs in emergency and disaster nursing.
2.Provide continuous professional development through workshops, webinars, and simulation-based training.
3.Work with UAE health authorities to improve emergency nursing policies and standards.
4.Strengthen partnerships with entities like Emirates Health Services (EHS), ICN, and WHO.

Joining Criteria
Must be a registered nurse, healthcare professional, or an individual involved in emergency and disaster response.
Minimum three years of experience in emergency, trauma, or disaster-related fields.
Should have an active interest in emergency nursing, disaster preparedness, or crisis management.
Completion of relevant certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, Trauma, or disaster response courses).
Must be a member of the Emirates Nursing Association (ENA) or willing to join.
