ENA and EHS Nursing and Informaticists Active Engagement on Advancements in Health Sciences-ICAHS

Explored the technological and institutional drivers of the current, and future, cutting-edge developments in the UAE healthcare sector


Emirates Nursing Association leaders and Emirates Health Services nursing informaticists have partaken in the HCT International Conference on Advancements in Health Sciences (ICAHS) 2023, organized by Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT)-UAE which was held from March 8-9, 2023 at the HCT-Dubai Men’s Campus in Academic City and it was on the Advancements in Health Sciences (ICAHS). The opening ICAHS aimed in addressing the topic of Innovations in Health Science Education, Healthcare, and Outcomes. Dr. Sumaya Mohamed Alblooshi- President of Emirates Nursing Association, Head of National Committee for Nursing and Midwifery Affairs-Ministry of Health & Prevention and Director of Nursing Department-Emirates Health Services-UAE, presented a topic on “Professional Development for the Future of Healthcare Professions and Global Perspectives.” Besides, the ICAHS-2023 addressed, paper presentations and interactions that covered additional themes in Interdisciplinary Innovation of Health Science Education, Digitalized and Transformational Health Care and Education, Competency-based Education and Assessment in Health Sciences, Novel Diagnostics, Therapies and EBP for Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases, Emerging Technologies in Healthcare Practice: Telehealth and AI. Adding to that Community and Public Health in Action: Integrating Social, Mental, Diagnostic, Emergency and Pharmaceutical Services and One Health – The Effects of Global Pandemics on Veterinary and Healthcare Professionals and Services. This allowed the multifaceted conference to provide a platform for practitioners, academicians, researchers, healthcare stakeholders and industry representatives to exchange insights into, and experiences on, the emerging strategies and technologies in health science education, healthcare and outcomes. The conference also explored the technological and institutional drivers of the current, and future, cutting-edge developments in the UAE healthcare sector.
